Case study
Nall's Specialized Hauling
A hauling and equipment transport business that needed a website a customer could use with one hand, standing next to the load.
The business
Nall's Specialized Hauling moves equipment and oversized loads for contractors, farms, and property owners. Most of the people who need that service are not browsing. They have a piece of equipment sitting somewhere it can't stay, and they want to know two things: can you move it, and how fast can you get here.
What they needed
Before the site, the business ran on word of mouth and a phone number that got passed around. That works until the calls stop coming from the same circle of people. The goal was a credible, findable home online that answered the basic questions and put the phone number in front of anyone who landed on it.
What I built
A focused site built for phones first, because that is where the traffic comes from on a job site. Services are described in the words customers use rather than industry terms. The contact path is short and repeated: the phone number sits in the header, in the body, and at the bottom of every page, so no visitor has to hunt for it.
The site is static, which means it loads fast on a weak signal and there is nothing to break, patch, or pay a platform for month after month.
What mattered most
- Speed on mobile data, since customers are rarely on wifi when they need a hauler.
- Plain descriptions of what does and does not get hauled, to filter out calls that waste both sides' time.
- Clear local service area language so nearby customers understand the business covers their county.
- Business information registered in the owner's name, so the site and domain stay theirs.
